A few people have asked me about my writing a book in 100 days thang, so I'm going to give some more details.
Now I realize some authors are more productive than I am ... though they probably work longer than I do. I actually type really fast ... I'm just not so committed to regular writing. So writing a book in 100 days is pretty good for me.
So here are the rules I'm following:
1) The goal is simply to hit my word count within 100 days.
That's it. I may or may not be done with the actual story at 100 days. Once I hit my word count, finishing the book won't take long. Then the edits and all that. If I can do the whole thing, great, if just the word count, I succeeded.
